September 25, 2015 - Senator Brooks held her 9th Annual Senior Expo on September 25, 2015 in Hempfield Township featuring over 60 exhibitors and nearly 600 attendees. Seniors and caretakers were provided with a wealth of information and health services including flu, pneumonia and shingles vaccinations. Also featured was Project Support Our Troops by Meadville Post 52. Every month the Preston’s (pictured to the left of Senator Brooks) send out between 50 and 85 care packages to the troops. Also pictured to Senator Brooks’ right is Arielle Reiser. She started the “CHIP-IN Project” (Contribute Household Items for People in Need) which has benefited AWARE of Mercer County, veterans’ organizations, nursing home residents and rescue mission clients.
September 25, 2015 - Corrine Livingston presented Senator Brooks with a plaque in appreciation of her ten years participating in the Crawford County 4-H and FFA Livestock Auction. While at the Active Aging Octoberfest, the Senator and Corrine are standing next to Little Creek Maple Syrup display.
September 24, 2015 - Senator Brooks along with DCNR Secretary Cindy A. Dunn and retired Senator Roy Wilt, Sr. stand alongside John C. Oliver, former DCNR Secretary, as a plaque was unveiled at a multi-use trail dedication ceremony in honor of Mr. Oliver. The trail is located in Maurice K. Goddard State Park. Mr. Oliver served as DCNR’s secretary from 1995 until 2003.

This event was an effort to raise funds and bring awareness to the five Ronald McDonald House locations in Pennsylvania - Danville, Hershey, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Scranton. During the press conference the Bowling Proprietors’ Association presented a $3,000 check to the Ronald McDonalds House.

Catholic Diocese of Erie is Pennsylvania's largest diocese, and their parishes stretch from the sparkling shores of Lake Erie through the majestic Allegheny National Forest.
On April 30, 2015 Jacob Clabbatz received his Eagle Scout Badge along with a citation from the Senate of Pennsylvania presented by Senator Michele Brooks. Jacob's Eagle Scout project included making two benches for the Spartensburg Fair in memory of his grandparents and also two benches for the Spartensburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Lincoln’s casket was placed in the Representatives Hall in the state capitol building where an estimated 10,000 mourners filed passed the casket paying their respects to their fallen leader. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Lincoln funeral train’s arrival in Harrisburg, a replica of President Lincoln’s casket was placed on display in the rotunda of the state capitol were commemorative ceremonies took place.

December 17, 2014 – Linesville, Senator Brooks attended the annual “Light up Route 6 for Safety” at the Knickerbocker Hotel, formally The Arlington Hotel located in Linesville. The hotel was built over 130 years ago and is in the process of being restored to its former glory. Every year the switch is flipped, lighting a Christmas tree located on top of the hotel along Route 6 in Linesville.

Longietti joined Bryce Veon, President and CEO of Autosoft for a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of Autosoft’s newly renovated technology center. Autosoft develops and supports integrated software solutions that simplify business operations to produce better business results for automotive retailers across the United States.
