MEADVILLE – Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50) invites seniors and caregivers to a Senior Expo on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Vernon Central Hose Company, 16589 McMath Ave., Meadville, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The expo will give residents the opportunity to learn about resources and programs provided by state government, as well as local nonprofit and community groups in the area. There will also be prize drawings provided by vendors.
Seniors will have the opportunity to have a bone density test, vision, skin, and spinal screening free of charge. In addition, flu shots, pneumonia, and Tdap vaccines will be available to all who are interested.
“I always enjoy these opportunities to engage with our senior citizens and ensure they have access to the support they need,” said Brooks. “This expo offers valuable tools to help seniors live safely, independently and actively.”
The Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 52 will be accepting snacks and personal care items for the troops.
“I look forward to seeing everyone again this year,” Brooks said.
