HARRISBURG — Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50) announced the approval of a grant for a project in Crawford County to modernize several intersections to increase safety for pedestrians and motorists.

“Improving the safety and accessibility of our roadways benefits everyone in the community,” Brooks said. “This investment will help ensure pedestrians can navigate this intersection more safely while supporting more efficient traffic operations.”

Cambridge Springs Borough will receive more than $8,500 for the installation of accessible pedestrian signals push buttons at the intersection of South Main Street, Venango Avenue and Church Street.

The grant is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Green Light-Go program. Established by the General Assembly in 2013, Green Light-Go is a competitive state grant program designed to improve the efficiency and operation of existing traffic signals.
