Brooks, Brown Announce $750,000 for AMG Titanium Expansion Project in Neshannock Township

State assistance for local project

HARRISBURG – Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50) and Rep. Marla Brown (R-9) today announced the awarding of a $750,000 state grant for the Measel-Bruce Inc. AMG Titanium Expansion project in Neshannock Township.

The grant was awarded to the Lawrence County Economic Development Corporation.

Funds will be used to acquire two vacant parcels plus a two-acre parcel with an existing building that will be combined into one to provide an additional 60,000 square-foot advanced technology production facility, integrating with AMG’s existing 50,000 square-foot facility adjacent to this project. Additionally, a 17,000 square-foot corporate office headquarters will be constructed. The total project cost is $15.7 million.

“With a 10-year backlog of new aircraft orders, AMG needs to increase capacity and proposes to expand in separate buildings, tripling output,” said Brooks. “The project will create at least 50 new family-sustaining jobs, while also boosting the U.S. aerospace manufacturing sector. I will continue to collaborate with area businesses and local governments to strengthen our local economy.”

“When local manufacturers invest in expanding their operations, it benefits our entire region through job creation, economic growth and increased opportunities for future generations,” said Brown.  “I’m pleased this funding will help Measel-Bruce continue to grow in Lawrence County and reinforce our area’s reputation as a great place to do business.”

The grant was awarded through the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program, which is administered by the Office of the Budget for the acquisition and construction of regional economic, cultural, civic, recreational and historical improvement projects.
