Brooks to Dedicate Local Bridge to State Trooper on Oct. 7

CRAWFORD – Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50) will host a ceremony on Friday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. to dedicate Bridge Key 13321, located on Geneva Road, over the Conneaut Outlet in Union Township to State Trooper John W. Marin. The dedication site will be at the intersection of Snake Road, South Watson Road and Geneva Road in Greenwood Township. Relocation due to inclement weather will be at the Faith United Methodist Church, 15439 State Hwy 285, Conneaut Lake, (Geneva) PA.

Marin served as a sniper, patrol trooper, public information officer and liaison to the U.S. Marshals Service, but he spent most of his career as a criminal investigator.

Because of the work he did as a criminal investigator, he received a Letter of Commendation for the critical role he played in bringing down one of the largest tractor trailer theft rings in the eastern United States.
