Brooks Announces State Support for Four Local Water and Sewer Projects

HARRISBURG (August 17, 2020) — Sen. Michele Brooks announced that four grants were approved today by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support area water and sewer projects.

These grants include:

  • $100,000 to assist in developing an additional water supply well and booster pump upgrades in Waterford, Erie County;
  • $100,000 to help replace a sanitary sewer pump station in Wayne Township, Erie County;
  • $125,000 for a water system improvement project in Linesville, Crawford County; and
  • $75,000 to aid in rehabilitating 25 sections of sanitary sewer lines in North and South Shenango Townships in Crawford County.

“Understanding the challenging cost of these projects, it is my hope that these grant dollars will help residents and municipalities as these upgrades are made in their communities,” Brooks said.

The CFA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth to administer Pennsylvania’s programs and investments in stimulating economic growth.
