Brooks to Host Senior Expos Friday, Sept. 14 in Edinboro, Sept. 21 in Greenville

EDINBORO—(July 25, 2018) Sen. Michele Brooks and Rep. Ryan Bizzarro invite older Pennsylvanians to a Senior Expo on Friday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of the Lake Social Hall in Edinboro, at 128 Sunset Drive.

The following Friday, Sept. 21, Sen. Brooks will sponsor a second Senior Expo, at Greenville Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 63 Conneaut Lake Road, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Guests will find a wealth of information and health services at the events, including flu shots, a prescription drug drop-off box, and information on senior housing, safety, health, veterans’ benefits, stae and county services, and more.  The event will also feature a “Support the Troops Collection” in conjunction with Meadville Post 52. Items such as eye drops, lip balm, small packs of tissues, stamps, chewing gum, and beef jerky are welcome.

“These expos are a popular way to bring seniors together for fellowship and information.  The vendors and I all love talking personally with our seniors and discussing issues important to them,” Sen. Brooks said.

“These expos bring together the information and experts dedicated to helping our seniors stay active and lead a safer, healthier, more independent and fulfilling lifestyle.  Everyone is welcome, including those who may be caregivers for loved ones at home,” she said.

Brooks’ district offices:  (814) 734-2783 in Edinboro or (724) 588-8911 in Greenville, or email her at mbrooks@pasen.gov.  Guests are also encouraged to visit her website at www.senatorbrooks.com and her Facebook page at Facebook.com/senatormichelebrooks.
