Brooks Announces Improvements to Buhl Park on the Way

HARRISBURG (Oct. 1, 2020)  Sen. Michele Brooks announced that Buhl Park Corporation has been chosen to receive $103,200 for the rehabilitation and further development of Buhl Park.

Funds will be dedicated to restore wetland cells; construct a boardwalk, observation decks

and pedestrian pathways; remove invasive species; expand ADA access; install landscaping and project signage; and make related improvements.

“This is exciting news for all of those who visit Buhl Park, but especially for all the children who love this fascinating area,” she added. “I wholeheartedly support this project and was happy to advocate for this funding, which will help increase accessibility for all and enhance the popularity of this wonderful venue.”

 “I want to thank the community for their hard work in submitting this application,” Brooks said.  “We were happy to partner with them and are excited to see what the future holds for Buhl Park and the larger community.”
