Brooks Invites Farmers to Take Part in Conference Call on COVID-19 Response

(HARRISBURG) April 21, 2020 – Dairy farmers and industry professionals are invited to participate in a dairy industry conference call this week to address their questions and concerns about how COVID-19 is affecting the industry.

This is the third in a series of calls, sponsored by the Center for Dairy Excellence.

The conference call is scheduled for Thursday, April 23 from 12 noon to 1 p.m.

Dairy farmers are encouraged to submit their questions and comments about the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on their farm. A panel of industry representatives will address these concerns and share updates on resources and support available at the state and national level.

The following topics will be covered on the call:

  • Strategies to reduce milk production
  • Financial implications of reducing milk production
  • Steps farmers should take in light of the governor’s most recent announcement related to PPE
