Brooks Shares News of Tax Credits to Fight Blight and Hunger

HARRISBURG –Nov. 15, 2019– Sen. Michele Brooks announced that the Department of Community and Economic Development has awarded tax credits under the Neighborhood Assistance Program to three area organizations:

  • Community Food Warehouse of Mercer County– $17,600
  • Community Action Partnership of Mercer County– $55,000
  • Bethseda Lutheran Services of Woodcock Township, Crawford County –$75,000

“This program builds on the great work being done in our communities across northwestern Pennsylvania,” Brooks said.  “By keeping children in school, feeding the hungry, and turning formerly blighted space into usable neighborhood assets, we can begin to bring positive change to our residents and regions in need.”
