Brooks Partners in $1.5 Million Funding Award for Corry’s Industrial Development Park

HARRISBURG (Aug. 2, 2019) Sen. Michele Brooks said she appreciated the opportunity to work together with her fellow Erie-area legislators, local business and community leaders, Corry Redevelopment Authority Executive Director Rick Novotny, and other elected officials, to make a grant for $1.5 million a reality for the Erie County General Authority through the state’s highly competitive Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).

The project will help expand Corry’s largest industrial facility to help meet the needs of an existing local manufacturer in a unique public-private partnership.

“It’s exciting to hear that this worthwhile project was supported through the RACP program,” Brooks said. “This collaboration will enhance the array of employment, manufacturing and commercial opportunities and build on the proud legacy of manufacturing in our community.”

“This investment will help keep and attract jobs, businesses and residents to the area, and bolster the job climate and the great economic potential of Corry,” Brooks said.
