Brooks Announces State Support for Crawford County’s Keystone Regional Industrial Park

HARRISBURG –May 22, 2019– Sen. Michele Brooks announced that a $300,000 grant was approved today to improve infrastructure for the Keystone Regional Industrial Park in Greenwood Township, Crawford County.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) approved the grant this morning, to support the extension of a natural gas pipeline to this repurposed brownfield site.

“By improving our infrastructure, the Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County and its partners can better market the park as an appealing location for innovation and job creation,” Brooks said. “These key investments in critical infrastructure have the potential to significantly strengthen our local economy and jobs picture for northwestern Pennsylvania.”

“We are very thankful that the CFA supported another project in Crawford County,” said Jim Becker, Executive Director of the Crawford County Economic Progress Alliance.  “This investment in infrastructure will go a long way in developing the Keystone Regional Industrial Park moving forward.”

The CFA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth to administer Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages. The CFA holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
