Sen. Brooks Invites Seniors to Take Safe Driving Course March 1

HARRISBURG – Sen. Michele Brooks encourages senior citizens to complete a four-hour driver safety course at the Greenville Senior Center from 1 to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 1.

By attending the course and refreshing their driving skills, older Pennsylvanians are eligible to receive a five percent discount on their automobile insurance premiums for three years.

The course was developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) in conjunction with Pennsylvania-based insurance companies.

The Greenville Senior Center is located at 45 Alan Avenue in Greenville, by Riverside Park.

“Older drivers are encouraged to sign up for this course,” Sen. Brooks said. “It can save them money on car insurance premiums, and help keep drivers of all ages safer on today’s busy roadways. I’d like to thank the Greenville Senior Center and Seniors for Safe Driving for helping to bring this course to our area.”

To enroll online, please visit www.seniorsforsafedriving.com or call toll-free at 1-800-559-4880.

The course costs $16.00 per participant, and the insurance discount is good for three years.
