Aging & Youth Committee Approves Three Bills

The Senate Aging & Youth Committee approved three bills Tuesday (November 17), according to committee Chair Senator Michele Brooks (R-50).

House Bill 477 creates the Activities and Experiences for Children in Out-of-Home Placements Act to give foster parents the ability to approve or disapprove their foster child participating in extracurricular activities.

 House Bill 1329 establishes the Caregiver, Advise, Record, and Enable (CARE) Act, which requires hospitals to allow patients to designate a caregiver prior to discharge from the facility.

House Bill 1603 amends the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act to deal with international child and family support orders.

The bills now go to the full Senate for consideration.
