Crawford County Conservation District Receives State Grant

The Crawford County Conservation District will receive a Growing Greener grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection in the amount of $104,167 for the initiation of a watershed implementation plan for Conneaut Lake, according to Senator Michele Brooks.

“The state is partnering with the Crawford County Conservation District to make a real difference in our environment,” Senator Brooks said. “This is a great investment by the state in protecting the natural beauty of Conneaut Lake.”

The local grant is part of more than $23.2 million awarded for 109 projects statewide in the current round of funding by the Department of Environmental for projects to improve watersheds, reduce stormwater runoff and acid mine drainage (AMD), and support educational programs, among other environmental efforts.
